172. Making strange faces with a half numb mouth

I had a filling the other day (I know I should really look after my teeth better, I try) and for this the dentist made half my mouth numb which was an odd experience (one that I haven't had since being a small child). The half numb feeling is very strange half my chin and lip no longer felt like they belonged to me and so the obvious reaction is the move it into the strangest of positions and keep poking it. Best Friend came with me for moral support and I'm sure got sick of me distorting my mouth because it felt funny and the repetion of 'It just doesn't feel like my chin.' She did slip in afew patronising comments I think. Anyway although I had an exam and then the dentist the half numb mouth did amuse me enough to cheer me right up, really made me smile (even if it felt like I was smiling with half my face).
