267. The gowns of Oxford
Walking round Oxford watching the students in their suits and gowns is amazing there is something so brilliant about them that really makes me smile.
266. Wearing spots
There is something wonderful about spots they dance around your clothing they can be added in any colour on any colour, they can be large or small, close together or spread sparsly, many or few, on any item, they really make me smile.
265. Large coats
There is something intrinsically conforting about large coats I now have two overlarge coats and they keep me increadably warm (also one has an inside pocket for my hip flask). Really makes my day.
264. Making my pasta carbonara for Uni Friends
Making food people enjoy always make me smile especially one of my favourite meals.
262. A Pret a Manger lunch
Uni Best Friend and I, when we need a treat or have money (rare), go to Pret a Manger for lunch, they have the most beautiful meatball wrap and hot chocolate. It really makes me smile.
261. Pudding in a can with custard
A treat with Best Friend (she does treat me well) when I went to visit, it was fantastic a pudding that was made to be shared. Really made me smile
260. Watching Sister Act (for free)
I had a Friend who works on lighting back stage with travelling theatre companies sent me a message "if you want to see the most ridiculas campest show this side of panto" and I had to say yes. I didn't know what to expect but it delivered. When the show ended with sparkily nun and policeman outfits I knew I was in the right place. The fact that I didn't have to pay made it even better. Really made my day.
259. Morgan Freemans voice
Morgan Freeman can say anything and you immediately listen, even if you don't actually pay attention to what is being said, it feels sensible. I want him to narrate my life, he can make the ordinary things sound so good. Listening to his voice always makes my day.
257. When a friend gets scared by a burning wooden model
For bonfire night a huge man was built anbd put infront of the bonfire and burnt alongside it now it was huge and looked a little creepy but my friend completely overacted and it was hilareous. There is something about irrational fear that is funny (well most of the time, this was one of those times). Made my day.
256. Deep chats late at night with almost strangers
During freshers there were a lot of late nights (well staying up till early morning) but one of the best was after a night in chatting to some people who got back the chat ranged from many things. I was beautiful talking so deeply with people known only briefly, really made me smile.

254. A bouncy castle in a nightclub
Whoever thought of that idea was a genius it may be knackering but it is utterly hilareous Best Friend really knows how to show me a good night out. Made my day.
253. Getting a free hat on a night out
When you end up with more clothes than you left with on a night out it is definitely a sucessful night going out with Best Friend up north we both ended up with free hats, nothing really beats that, really made me smile.
252. Bratwurst and Currywurst
My Older Sister came to visit and I took her to the German Christmas Market as previously mentioned (reason 249) and there we saw a stall selling Bratwurst and Currywurst not knowing which to chose we got one of each and share. It was glorious really made me smile.
251. Seeing Best Friend after two months apart
Because Best Friend and I chose University's on opposite sides of the country pretty much we knew it would be difficult to see each other what I didn't realise was how long and expensive a 5 hour train journey actually is and because the first month or so at Uni is very hectic it was a while before the tickets were booked. At first it was alright as I had gone a few weeks without seeing her before but then it started to hit that I wouldn't see her for quite a while then I had a time and whenever I was sad I'd count the days, for the last week she posted a countdown on my facebook. Then the moment arose I was getting off that long boring train and there she was in all her 5" 11 glory I can't even describe how beautiful that moment was. Made more than my day.
250. The sound of the rain
Back home the typical weather is rain which was why moving from the Midlands to the South was strange for months there was no real rain here (people here claimed a five minute light shower was rain almost as bad as the frost someone tried to lable ice). While writing one of my essays I remembered a website I'd found back home but not often needed to use http://www.rainymood.com/ this became my essay background. However the other day it happened real rain, it wasn't a hardcore downpour but it was proper rain that actually got you wet (I know Best Friend will be questioning my sanity in liking the rain as she moved right up north and dispares of it, trust me you miss it when it's not there or at least I do). Walking in the rain feels cathartic to me to run the risk of sounding cheesy, it feels like it's washing away my troubles I don't need to feel sad because the weather is doing that for me I can just embrace it. A Friend here asked why I was smiling so much and I just told him to look outside it made my day.
