154. The appreciative looks you get when wearing a suit and red top hat

My Good Friends Dad used to take us (Me, Her and Best Friend) to the gym twice a week (one of those being early on a Saturday morning which was tough going sometimes), he took a group of us to centerparks one summer, he organised a 3 day trip to London as a GCSE celebration, he has thrown cocktail parties for us and much more... So when last year he invited Me and Best Friend to his wedding we were very excited and promised to save the date. This proved problematic when Practically Sister accidently organised her party for the same day however that hitch was slightly solved as I went with her on her actual birthday family meal (also see reason 153). I decided that as my 'date' for the evening was Best Friend one of us needed to wear the suit so I boldly stepped forwards (actually I just really wanted an excuse to wear a suit and take my Top Hat out for a spin). There was, at one point, a worry that I might not get the suit in time -as I did leave it a little last minute- however, it came and it is beautiful. Wearing a suit to a posh wedding (well we went to the party after the wedding actually but it still counts) was truely wonderful, it opened my eyes to what a hassel dresses can be. One of the best things about it was the smiles it raised, to paint the picture I was wearing a black fitted suit with a dark red shirt, a bright red top hat with a black feather in it and red shoes, I think you can guess at the looks (it was quite a posh do). It felt glorious I will definitely be wearing my suit again, it really made me smile.
