151. Driving late at night with an Amusing Drunk in the back

I dislike driving, the feeling it gives me just makes me uncomfortable, I started driving more than a year ago now and the other day is the first time I have really enjoyed it. I don't know what it was I picked up Best Friend and that was alright a couple of mishaps then we went to pick up Best Male Friend (who turned out to be in the shower so we went back home and then came back again later). We had been on a beautiful walk through the countryside near a local stately home and decided that I was going to pick them up at 9 and we were going to go on a midnight drive and then have midnight pasta. We sat round just chatting for a while (as it needs to be midnight to go on a midnight drive) and when it was nearing midnight Best Male Friend gets a call from his Best Friend [who is now going to be refered to as Amusing Drunk] (Best Male Friend went to a different school before coming to ours and Amusing Drunk still goes there and so although we have met Amusing Drunk before we don't know him that well) from a party asking if he could stay at his house and if it was possible could Best Male Friend walk and meet him, I offered to pick him up and off we all went. This apparently is the first time Amusing Drunk has been this drunk before and it was wonderful we mentioned the midnight drive idea and he jumped at it. The whole time he just would come out with these brilliant lines he kept asking where we were going and then was suprised when we said on a midnight drive and would ask if we were really doing that, he was texting people saying he was being abducted by a murderess, he kept saying "oh my god" and most often would follow that with "I'm embarassing myself aren't I, I'll stop talking". I don't know exactly what it was but driving just felt right (and it wasn't just the drunk in the back as I enjoyed the driving before that. Anyway we then came back and had midnight pasta, definitely one of the nicest unexpected evenings in a long time (I literally got a call half an hour before going on the walk asking if I wanted to go and all this happened as a result of me saying yes) really made me smile.
