149. A spontaneous dinner party

My Little Sister is the main chef of the family and the other day her and my Mother were walking round the supermarket doing the weekly shop when they came across crispy duck and pancakes. At first they were just going to by the ready made stuff but then they decided why not get a duck and DIY it. I helped cook the pancakes Little Sister did the rest and we invited Best Friend round to enjoy it with us (we also invited Practically Sister but she couldn't make it). When I woke up in the morning I didn't realise I would be having a dinner party with duck pancakes, rose wine, elderflower jelly (simply divine) and brilliant company, it was wonderful. Afterwards we sat on the sofa and watched X-Men: The Last Stand a lovely end to a lovely evening (even if it doesn't quite fit in with the dinner party ambiance). The whole evening really made me smile.
